Recycling pick-up is not offered in the area. Residents may drop off their recyclable bottles, cans and newspapers in the recycling dumpster behind the cemetery, where it adjoins PennDot property.

Electronic Recycling

Effective January 24th, 2013, PA residents cannot put electronics on or at the curb for normal waste pickup – this includes putting them in a Borough dumpster.
Electronic equipment  includes answering machines, compact disc players, electric typewriters, fax machines, hard drives, laptops, mobile phones, modems, microwave ovens, pagers, personal computers (CPU, monitors, keyboards, mouse, and peripherals), printers, printed circuit boards, radios, remote controls, stereos, tape players, telephones and telephone equipment, televisions, and VCR’s. Residents are responsible for removal of any personal data contained on electronic devices and computer hard drives.
Goodwill  in Franklin accepts electronics for recycling. Staples – Route 322 Kimberly Drive, Cranberry, PA 16319, Phone:(814) 678-6737, Hours: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm also accepts computers, monitors and printers.
